The Round 5 Workgroup has been established to shape the future direction of upcoming Deep Funding rounds. Bringing together representatives from multiple Circles and diverse backgrounds, the group will collaborate to define how Round 5 should be structured and governed.
Our focus is to establish clear and transparent structures for Circle-led rounds. This involves:
Outlining processes required to guide and manage Circle-led funding rounds.
Defining success criteria to evaluate circle performance.
Setting boundaries and limits for circle decision-making to ensure accountability.
Clarifying roles and responsibilities for effective leadership.
Establishing parameters for when and how leadership may be transitioned back to Deep Funding staff if necessary.
The Round 5 Workgroup represents an important step toward refining participatory governance, ensuring transparency, accountability, and well-structured processes for future funding rounds.
